We will once again be taking part in the Juneteenth Celebration to be held on Saturday, June
14th, at South Mountain Community College. The college is located at 7050
South 24th Street just north of Baseline Road in Phoenix. The event runs
from 6 to 10 PM.
We will have a table to display our literature, just
as we did last year. Volunteers to man the table would be appreciated.
If you would like to volunteer, please call Daisy Ratcliff at 623-772-1601
or Henrietta Beckford at 480-854-2504.
Social Studies teacher Miles Dean has completed his journey across

the Pacific Coast of California. His history-making ride began six
months ago in Lower Manhattan, New York. Read all about his trip at
the Black Heritage Riders
